Last Outing (February 10 - 11, 2018)

This week outing will be the last of our outing in Pangasinan Province. For the closing, Mr. Armand offered us to go to the Baguio at Sunday. He said there will be flower festival or Panagbenga on Sunday at Baguio. For information, Baguio is one of the highest located city in Philippines. It made that place to be a lot cooler than aby other place. It's like Malang or Bogor of Indonesia.

On Saturday, we were told by Ma'am Agnes to collect our reports on Tuesday. That's why we were so busy to finish it. I, Mufti, Mitha, and Ake went to Ariel&Fe at the afternoon because there is a better internet connection and we missed the food there. We ordered chicken crispy, sate rice, and Pancit sa Bilao to have a feast there. Afterwards, we visited the Bayambang city hall to take a photo there because we'll leaving this city soon.

At night, I and Ake didn't sleep at all because the van will pick us up at 4 a.m. We , as a fellow sleeper, are afraid to wake up late. So, we just finished our reports together as we watched the movie in our TV. At around 2 a.m., I helped him cook some fried rice in the kitchen as breakfast for all of us. At 4 a.m., we already finished our preparations to go but that van didn't arrive on time. When the van came, I and Ake went inside directly and slept throughout the trip.

When we woke up at around 10 a.m., the van already arrived at Baguio. It was colder than Bayambang, but not as cold as I imagined. There, we walked around the lake, bought souvenirs, and surely went to visit the Panagbenga. Afterwards, the van carry us to the Mansion of former president, Ferdinand Marcos. Lastly, we went to the Botanical Garden to take photos and buy another souvenirs there.

DAY-1 (January 20th, 2018).

This is the day!! I woke up early at 3 am to ensure that I wouldn’t be late for the check-in of the flight from Jambi to Jakarta. The flight itself will start at 6 am, but we’d already gathered at the airport since 5 am. After some tear-jerking farewell with the parents, then all five of us started our journey. At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, we met with our coordinator, Mrs. Rahmalia, who was already in Jakarta to pick up the other SEA-Teachers who will be deployed in Jambi University. She helped us to get into the international terminal and tasted the new SkyTrain there.  I reached Manila at 4.30 pm. and peacefully passed the immigration check. At the exit door, I found some stalls that sells Philippine’s SIM card. Attracted by the crowd, then I purchased the 4 GB data package for 599 pesos. YES, 599 PESOS FOR ONLY 4 GIGABYTES OF DATA THAT YOU COULD BUY FOR Rp. 26,000 (100 pesos) IN INDONESIA. After that, I met up with the other Indonesian delegates (16 of them) at the prayer room in

DAY 1 (January 22nd 2018)

Magandang umaga!! Today was the day that marks the starter point of the SEA-TEACHER program. At first, we ate breakfast at the university’s canteen. The breakfast was consist of boiled egg and a local cuisine, which called bangus or milk fish. The bangus is a boneless fried fish and the taste is a bit salty like Indonesia’s ikan asin . After breakfast, I and the others visited PSU Bayambang’s Faculty of Science and Math. There, we were introduced to the teachers and staffs and had a good time talking with each other. At 10 am. the bus came to carry us to the Lingayen City. Along the road, we enjoyed the scenery of the Pangasinan Province, such as the migrant birds, the fishponds, and of course the beach of Lingayen Gulf. The bus stopped at the Pangasinan Provincial Capitol, which used as the governor’s office. There, we were formally greeted with the vice governor and the executive boards of Pangasinan Province. Day 12 (February 2nd, 2018)

Hello, guys. Today, I was not feeling well because I caught some cold. Fortunately, I didn't have any schedule during Friday. So, I just spend my day in the dormitory, resting. I also took a chance to wash my clothes with the washing machine which is provided by the PSU in our dormitory. In the afternoon, Mr. Armand came to our dormitory to inform us about the next outing. The outing will be held on Saturday, and we'll visit Bolinao and Alaminos City. The plan is to visit the Patar beach which is famous to its white sand, and the Hundred Island near Alaminos City. For that, we need to be ready before 6 a.m., because the other participants from SEA-TVET program will be joining us in this outing.
