DAY -2 (January 19th, 2018)

One day before the departure day, all of us, the delegates from Jambi University was called to the Senate Meeting Room. It will be the meeting for farewell speech from University’s President to the delegates. The meeting was held at 9 am, and unfortunately, the President couldn’t attended because of an urgent meeting. He was represented by the Vice President of Relations and Communications and so the meeting goes. It was ended by the photo session with our new shirt for SEA-Teachers program.
After that, all of us were preparing for our departure the next day after. There was also a bit of trouble because the return flight from Philippines hadn’t purchased yet and might become a problem in the immigration posts. Luckily, we managed to purchase the return tickets from the friend of our coordinator who is a travel agent. So, for future reference, you’d better purchase your return ticket from ahead of time to ensure your travel will be going smoothly.

Today is the day that I’d visit my assigned school for the SEA-Teacher program. As usual, I started the day with having breakfast at Mom Aida’s canteen. The menu for today’s breakfast was fish dishes with both bangus and fried long-fish. After the breakfast, I and the others were arranged to visit the PSU Integrated High School, with our internship supervisor, Mrs. Agnes and Mrs. Ping. The high school is consist of both Junior and Senior High School, due to the K-12 Curriculum. We were directed to the Grade 8 – Granite Classroom to have our meeting with the principal and the supervising teachers. Mrs. Agnes also handed to us the schedule for our observation and practice teaching. As for me, because there are 4 Biology Student and the school only has 9 classes in Junior High School department, then I was rearranged to the Senior High School. Last Outing (February 10 - 11, 2018)

This week outing will be the last of our outing in Pangasinan Province. For the closing, Mr. Armand offered us to go to the Baguio at Sunday. He said there will be flower festival or Panagbenga on Sunday at Baguio. For information, Baguio is one of the highest located city in Philippines. It made that place to be a lot cooler than aby other place. It's like Malang or Bogor of Indonesia. On Saturday, we were told by Ma'am Agnes to collect our reports on Tuesday. That's why we were so busy to finish it. I, Mufti, Mitha, and Ake went to Ariel&Fe at the afternoon because there is a better internet connection and we missed the food there. We ordered chicken crispy, sate rice, and Pancit sa Bilao to have a feast there. Afterwards, we visited the Bayambang city hall to take a photo there because we'll leaving this city soon. At night, I and Ake didn't sleep at all because the van will pick us up at 4 a.m. We , as a fellow sleeper, are afraid to wake up late. ...

DAY 1 (January 22nd 2018)

Magandang umaga!! Today was the day that marks the starter point of the SEA-TEACHER program. At first, we ate breakfast at the university’s canteen. The breakfast was consist of boiled egg and a local cuisine, which called bangus or milk fish. The bangus is a boneless fried fish and the taste is a bit salty like Indonesia’s ikan asin . After breakfast, I and the others visited PSU Bayambang’s Faculty of Science and Math. There, we were introduced to the teachers and staffs and had a good time talking with each other. At 10 am. the bus came to carry us to the Lingayen City. Along the road, we enjoyed the scenery of the Pangasinan Province, such as the migrant birds, the fishponds, and of course the beach of Lingayen Gulf. The bus stopped at the Pangasinan Provincial Capitol, which used as the governor’s office. There, we were formally greeted with the vice governor and the executive boards of Pangasinan Province.
